Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with Level 3 NICU experience for a day shift position requiring ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NRP certifications.
Details
Respiratory Care unit within a 160-bed hospital staffed by 32 respiratory therapists
Covers ICU, Med Surg, ER, and Level 3 NICU patient populations
Day shift schedule of 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM on a 3x12 basis, totaling 36 hours per week
Works every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
No on-call requirements
Uses ventilators including PB and Drager V500, Aerogen nebulizers, V60 BiPAP, HHFNC, Hamilton C-transport, Oscillator, Jet, Nitric, and Bubble CPAP
Utilizes Epic EMR
Requirements
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in respiratory therapy
Level 3 NICU experience required
Acute care experience in Med Surg, ER, and ICU settings
Experience managing BiPAPs, ventilators, and Heated High Flow units
Experience assisting with intubations and bedside bronchoscopies
Proficient EMR charting skills
License required if applicable
No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
Assist with intubations and bedside bronchoscopies as part of daily responsibilities
Manage high patient loads and higher acuity cases with strong time management skills
Work independently and proactively within a Level 3 NICU setting
