Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with 2+ years of critical care experience for an acute care night shift position managing adult ventilator patients.
Details
Acute care inpatient/ED respiratory therapy unit
Adult patient population
Manages 5-6 ventilators per shift
Uses 840/980, V60, and Vapotherm equipment
Draws and analyzes ABGs from arterial lines and punctures
Assists with intubations
Epic EMR used
Night shift, , 3 days per week
Every other weekend required
Possible holiday requirement
No call or standby requirement
No floating required
Never the sole RT in-house; leads on each shift also carry a workload
Hospitalist/Intensivist available in-house
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of critical care and mechanical ventilation experience
BLS and ACLS certification required
RRT preferred; CRT will be considered
Active state or compact (NLC) license required for the state of practice; license required if applicable
Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
Additional Information

No special scrub color or dress code required
No radius restriction unless required by state-specific rules
