Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) with 2+ years of experience for a day shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital.
Details
Respiratory Therapy / Neuro Diagnostics unit within a short-term acute care hospital
Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital with 733 staffed beds
Must be comfortable working with both adults and children, including ICU patients
Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Weekend rotation required, every other weekend
Holiday coverage required
Floating within the hospital or affiliated campuses based on staffing needs
No on-call requirements
Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of applicable Respiratory Therapy experience
Active state or compact license required for consideration (license required if applicable)
Must pass the Advanced EKG exam as part of compliance
No background or license actions within the past 12 months
Must be comfortable working with pediatric and adult patients in ICU settings
Additional Information
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a teaching hospital environment
Scrub color requirement: solid black or black and white
Maximum of 4 days RTO permitted, with holiday RTO limited to one major holiday request
Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
Day shift travelers may extend their contract once, for a maximum of two contracts total
After reaching the maximum extensions, travelers must wait six months before reapplying
Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the main campus are not eligible for this position
Modules must be completed prior to the start date, estimated at 4-10 hours
