Job description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist Tech with 2+ years of experience for a day shift contract providing respiratory care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations.
Requirements
Active RRT certification
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
PALS certification required, NRP preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience required
State of Hawaii respiratory therapist license required by start of assignment; license required if applicable
Must be able to provide continuous airway management and ventilator/non-invasive ventilator support
Responsibilities
15-week day shift contract
Day Shift ), three twelve-hour shifts weekly (36 hours)
No guaranteed hours
Cares for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
Utilizes PB 980 and PB 840 ventilators, V60, and Para Pac Transport Vent
Uses computerized charting and Pyxis medication management system
Responsibilities include airway management, ventilator and non-invasive ventilator support, physician consultation, CPR, and all aspects of respiratory care
Must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment start for clearance appointment
Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exception required prior to contract start
First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
