Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a rehabilitation hospital night shift position requiring 1+ years of experience and Michigan state licensure.
Details
Rehabilitation hospital setting within the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit
Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
13-week contract length
Epic EMR system used
Scope of services includes bronchodilator care, ventilator care, pulmonary hygiene therapy, and airway management
Performs tracheostomy changes, sleep disorder screening, and Bipap/Cpap therapy
Conducts diagnostic procedures including EKGs, blood gas analysis, TCOM monitoring, and overnight pulse ox studies
Assists with discharge education and coordination for patients
Requirements
Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), CRT not accepted
Minimum 1+ years of experience required
BLS certification required
NBRC national certification required
Michigan state RRT license required in hand prior to start
License required if applicable
ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
Epic EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
Provide comprehensive respiratory care through patient assessment and interdisciplinary collaboration
Develop and follow patient-centered care plans aligned with physician and care team priorities
Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers
