Travel Respiratory Therapist - NICU RT

Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU night shift position at a Level I Trauma Center requiring 2+ years of trauma experience.
Details
NICU unit within a Level I Trauma Center academic medical center
Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Every other weekend required
Must float between two nearby campuses connected by a shuttle
No self-scheduling or special scheduling accommodations permitted; schedules assigned based on unit staffing needs
No on-call requirement
Epic charting system used
Requirements
RRT and ACLS certifications required
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of experience required (1.5 years considered with Level I Trauma or travel experience)
Trauma Level I experience required
Teaching hospital experience preferred
Preferred experience with NRP and PALS certifications
Preferred experience with Hamilton C6 ventilator and extracorporeal therapies
License required if applicable
1 professional reference required
Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
COVID vaccine booster required with religious or medical exemption only
Additional Information
Provide respiratory care services to critically ill neonatal patients in the NICU
Work within a large academic medical center with 1,567 staffed beds
Navy blue scrubs required
First-time travelers will be considered for this role
Travelers are expected to clock in early and report promptly for shift huddle
Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
Travelers must be gone from facility for 2 years before returning in a travel role
Local candidates not accepted within 75 miles of the facility
Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
