Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for a night shift hospital position requiring 2+ years of adult critical care, ED, and transport experience.
Details
Hospital-based Respiratory Therapy/Neuro Diagnostics unit
Adult critical care and Emergency Department settings with patient transport responsibilities
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
Every other weekend required
Holiday coverage as needed
Requirements
RRT or CRT certification accepted
ACLS and BLS certifications required
MD state license or compact license required (license required if applicable)
Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years
Adult critical care, ED, and transport experience required
Community hospital experience required
Teaching hospital experience preferred
Must have completed at least 1 previous travel assignment
Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment
Flu vaccine required
Additional Information
Provide respiratory care and neuro diagnostic support within adult critical care and emergency settings
Perform ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
Administer aerosolized and nebulized medications and manage airway devices
Care for patients with ARDS, COVID, fresh tracheostomy, and pneumonia
Black scrub color required
First-time travelers not considered for this role
Previous MedStar employees must have a minimum one-year separation before returning as a traveler
Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate
No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
Maximum RTO of 7 days per 13-week contract
