Job description
Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRT
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a day shift hospital position requiring EPIC and Cerner experience.
Respiratory/Pulmonary department within a hospital setting
Provides respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patients
Day shift hours, 36 hours per week
Requires experience in both EPIC and Cerner EMR systems
NBRC-RRT or NBRC-CRT credential required
Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required in CA - license required if applicable
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required within the last 3 months
Cerner and EPIC experience must be documented in employment history
Assesses and documents appropriateness of prescribed respiratory therapy for patients
Administers aerosol and oxygen therapy and maintains patient charts
Draws arterial blood gases per policy and physician order
Provides care to ventilator patients
Assists with department record keeping and participates in training and supervision of new employees
Documents care given and maintains treatment records
Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will be automatically declined
Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel rate with no radius restriction
