Job description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a critical access hospital night shift role requiring 3+ years of adult critical care and emergency department experience.
Requirements
Current RRT, ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
License required if applicable
Minimum 3 years of experience required
Prior travel assignment experience required
Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department experience required
Pediatric and NICU/Pediatric Critical Care experience preferred
Community hospital experience required
Trauma Level I experience preferred
Epic charting system experience required
Responsibilities
Critical access hospital setting providing respiratory care across ED, ICU, and Med Surg units
Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 18:00-06:30
Weekend work required at minimum every other weekend, with potential for more based on operational need
Must float within scope to all four campus locations: Bend, Redmond, Prineville, and Madras
Must be able to work independently in a critical access hospital environment
Epic EMR experience required
On-call is voluntary, not required
Provide general respiratory therapy services across ED, ICU, and Med Surg units
Perform ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and airway management procedures
Experience with neonatal/pediatric equipment and procedures preferred including CPAP, oscillating ventilators, and high-risk delivery assistance
First-time travelers are not accepted
Local candidates are not accepted within a 75-mile radius of the facility
RTO requests limited to 7 days
Schedule is set by facility operational needs and cannot accommodate personal requests
