Job description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience and pediatric background for a short-term acute care Level III trauma center.
Job Details
• Short-term acute care Level III trauma center with 252 staffed beds,
• Part of the Yale New Haven Health System,
• Evening (4x10, 14:45-0:45) and Night (4x10, 23:00-9:00) shifts available based on department need,
• 40 hours per week with 8 and/or 12 hour shift options,
• Weekend rotation at least every other weekend,
• Holiday rotation at least every other holiday,
• Floating to Westerly Hospital as needed,
• Uses EPIC charting system,
Job Requirements
• CT and RI state licenses required; can start with one active and one pending,
• License required if applicable,
• BLS certification required,
• Minimum 2 years of experience required,
• Pediatrics experience required,
• 1 professional reference required for consideration,
Additional Information
• Navy blue scrubs required,
• Free parking available,
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted,
• COVID vaccine and booster required with religious/medical exemptions only,
• Returning perm staff must be separated for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler,
• Facility can auto-approve up to 7 days of RTO,
• Local candidates considered only for Nuclear Med Tech or CT Tech positions at local rate,
• 75-mile radius rule applies for travel rate eligibility
