Job description
This full-time outpatient retail pharmacist position offers an opportunity to work within a respected and stable integrated health system in Central New York. Based primarily in Cooperstown, this role supports a high-volume outpatient retail pharmacy serving approximately 1,100 prescriptions weekly. The position requires occasional coverage at satellite locations in Oneonta and Delhi.

Schedule: Monday through Friday
8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities: Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced retail outpatient setting
Support the Meds to Beds program serving hospital patients
Provide immunization services to the community
Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure patient satisfaction
Collaborate with pharmacy team members and healthcare providers to optimize patient care
Utilize Pharmacy Management System (PioneerRx) and EMR (EPIC) for managing prescriptions and patient information
Occasionally provide coverage for satellite locations as needed
Qualifications and Experience: Active New York State Pharmacist License in good standing
Experience in retail or outpatient pharmacy settings required
Proven ability to work in a high-volume dispensing environment preferred
Familiarity with PioneerRx and EPIC systems preferred
Immunization certification or willingness to obtain
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to superior customer service
Flexibility to cover Oneonta and Delhi locations on occasion
