Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring a minimum of 3 years Cath Lab experience and on‑call availability.
Requirements
Active RN license (Idaho state license or multistate compact license) required, ID or compact license required
Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
Minimum 3 years of patient‑facing RN experience required at time of hire
Minimum 3 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
ADN or diploma required, BSN preferred
Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program
Competency in procedural sedation, cardiac medication administration, and cardiac monitoring required
Must be able to lift and move up to 35 lbs
Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, crouch, bend, and assist with patient transfers
Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
Responsibilities
Acute care setting within a Level 2 trauma facility
Cardiac Cath Lab unit caring for cath lab patient population
Day shift schedule: four 10‑hour shifts, Monday‑Friday
Uses EPIC EMR
On‑call availability required for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Call requirement includes a minimum 3‑hour call‑back with onsite arrival in the Cath Lab within 30 minutes of being called in
Evaluate, plan, implement, and document nursing care for Cath Lab patients
Communicate professionally across multiple departments to ensure safe patient care
Report changes in patient status to physicians and respond confidently to emergent situations
Exercise critical thinking and sound clinical judgment in daily patient care
Must reside outside a 50‑mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
