About This Role
The Travel RN-L&D Labor & Delivery position at Northwell Health involves providing specialized nursing care for patients in labor and delivery settings. This role is ideal for experienced nurses seeking a contract position with a focus on maternal and newborn health.

What You'll Do
Assess the patient’s physiologic health status.
Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures.
Assess gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health status.
Determine mobility, sensory deficits, prostheses use, and skin condition.
Assess level of pain and pain management.
Communicate and document patient’s physiologic health status and plan of care.
Assess patient’s psychosocial health status.
Elicit perception of medical/nursing care and expectations.
Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes.
Formulate the plan of care and establish priorities to achieve expected outcomes.
Requirements
Education:
Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty.
Licenses & Certifications:
Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut required.
BLS certification required.
ACLS, Adv NRP, Intermediate AWHONN, C-EFM NCC certifications required.
