Job description
American Traveler is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab RN for a 12-week travel assignment requiring 2+ years of cath lab experience and the ability to take call.
Requirements
Active TX or compact RN license
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
Minimum 1 year of recent specialty experience required
Experience with procedures including LHC, RHC, PCI, PTA, Stenting, Impella, IABP, Peripheral Angiograms, PPM, ICD, EP studies, some IR procedures, Thrombectomy, Laser, and Directional Atherectomy
US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri candidates)
No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Responsibilities
Cardiac Cath Lab unit with 5 recovery bays and 8 FTE staff
1:1 patient ratio in procedural rooms and 1:5 in recovery
Day shift schedule, 6:45 AM to 3:30 PM, 8-hour shifts
Uses GE/Philips equipment with Meditech and MERGE EMR systems
Floating to Interventional Radiology (IR) may be required
On-call responsibilities of one week per month
Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced cardiac catheterization lab setting
Best suited for candidates with a relaxed, laid-back personality fit
Navy scrubs provided as part of the dress code
Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
