Job description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Intermediate Care CV Unit position requiring stroke patient experience and NIHSS certification.
Requirements
Active RN license (Single State or CO Compact) required
Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS, all issued by AHA and not expiring prior to start
1+ years of experience in the specialty required
Experience working with stroke patients required
ASN required; BSN preferred
TNCC certification preferred
DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Responsibilities
Work in the Intermediate Care CV Unit of a hospital setting
Patient population includes stroke patients
Uses Epic for charting
Schedule consists of 3x12hr day shifts,
Weekend holiday rotation required, with 6 weekend shifts in an 8-week schedule
No on‑call responsibilities
May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care
Provide health teaching, counseling, and supportive/restorative therapy and treatment
Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
Former permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignment
