Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring 2 years of recent CVICU experience and SC or compact RN licensure.
Requirements
Active SC or compact RN license required
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
Prior travel nursing experience required
Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, blood product administration, central and PICC line care
Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory failure care
Experience with post cardiac surgery care, IABP, CABG, TAVR, and valve repair/replacement
Experience managing dysrhythmias, cardiac monitoring, and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
Experience with CRRT/CVVHD and acute/chronic renal failure care
Responsibilities
13-week assignment in the CVICU
Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
Patient ratio of 1:2
Every other weekend coverage required
Floating to other qualified units or campuses may be required based on census needs
Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients, including those recovering from cardiac surgery and interventions
Green scrubs required
Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance training required
Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from any Prisma Health facility to be eligible for travel assignments system-wide
Candidates 90-99.9 miles away may be considered at a reduced bill rate
