American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a CVICU position requiring 2 years of experience, active AZ or compact RN license, and prior travel nursing experience.
Details
Blended ICU/CVICU unit within a 171-bed Joint Commission accredited community hospital and regional referral center, designated Level III trauma center and Certified Chest Pain Center
16-bed unit caring for adult and geriatric patients
Patient ratio of 1:2
Common diagnoses include STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, A. Fib RVR, ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, trauma, CRRT, TCAR and TVAR
Uses Baxter pumps and Medhost EHR
3x12-hour shifts, 7A-7P
Every other weekend required
On-call requirements apply
Floating required to the Intermediate Care Unit as primary RN and to ED holding for admitted patients on an as-needed basis
Weekly orientation offered
48-hour shifts may be considered but are not guaranteed; no block schedule requests
Requirements
Active RN license (AZ or Compact) required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Prior travel nursing experience required
Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
AHA-issued certifications required
Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration
Additional Information
Provide direct patient care within a blended ICU/CVICU setting handling complex cardiovascular and critical care cases
Located in Lake Havasu City, AZ, offering access to outdoor recreation, local dining, and scenic mountain and lake views
Within driving distance of Las Vegas, Phoenix, Grand Canyon National Park, and Los Angeles/San Diego
Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
First-time travelers considered given required travel experience
