Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cardiovascular ICU RN with Impella, IABP, and post open heart care experience for a hospital assignment in Oklahoma City.
Details
Cardiovascular ICU setting within a hospital
Patients requiring Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), CRRT, ECMO, and post open heart day 2 care
Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
Requirements
Active RN license issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact (eNLC) license
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
Experience with Impella, IABP, CRRT, ECMO, and post open heart recovery care required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Additional Information
Provides direct nursing care to an assigned group of ICU cardiovascular patients
Monitors and documents patient responses to treatments and interventions, notifying physicians of changes
Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
Assists physicians with diagnostic procedures and minor treatments
Communicates care plans with patients and families, including discharge planning
Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
Strict compliance deadlines apply; onboarding must begin immediately upon offer
Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks prior to start date
Returning workers may only extend once for a maximum of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
