Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring CVICU or ICU experience and ACLS/BLS certification.
Details
Cardiovascular ICU unit with 10 beds and 2:1 patient ratios
Total Care Support staffing model with unit secretaries and techs available
Uses Alaris IV pumps, GE bedside monitors, IABP, and Impella devices
Cares for patients undergoing open heart procedures and ECMO cannulation
Schedule of 3 shifts per week including 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
Shift hours are 7am-7pm
Floating required to Medical ICU and floor units as needed
Requirements
Active KS or compact RN license required
ACLS/BLS or ALS/BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU or ICU experience required
Must have skills in telemetry, pressor and positive inotrope administration, pacemaker management, chest tube care, Cath/EP Lab recovery, and pericardial drain management
Frequent site and vital sign assessment experience required
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
US SSN and DOB required for consideration
One professional reference required
Additional Information
Perform frequent patient assessments and manage complex cardiovascular interventions and post-procedural recovery
Charge nurse experience for night shift is a plus
CVICU experience preferred in addition to general ICU background
Unit recognized as a Unit of Distinction with high expectations for quality and patient experience scores
Royal blue scrubs required as part of the dress code
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
