Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVICU RN for an 18-week night shift assignment requiring prior travel experience and a WA or compact RN license.
Details
Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at a Magnet-designated teaching hospital
Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
Weekend requirement unless otherwise posted
Floating required within hospital to other ICU units
No floating to sister hospitals
Uses EPIC charting system
Requirements
Active WA or compact RN license (pending license accepted)
Current BLS and ACLS certification
Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience, open heart experience preferred
Prior travel nursing experience required
Proficiency with vents, IV starts, PA lines, pacers, and Swan-Ganz catheters
Experience with Impella, IABP, and LVAD/RVAD required
Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Lung and heart transplant experience preferred
Post-op cardiovascular experience required
Must complete EKG telemetry compliance testing
Additional Information
Provide critical care nursing to complex cardiovascular and post-surgical cardiac patients
Any scrub color permitted
COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
RTO limited to 7 days in Nov/Dec, may span one holiday, must work 2 of 3 holidays
RTO cannot be requested during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
Former UW Medical Center staff must have a separation period of at least 18 months before returning as a traveler

In compliance with state pay transparency laws, we disclose that the estimated weekly pay range for this role is $2,281 - $2,510. The $2,510 weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, corresponds to the higher end of this range. Weekly travel pay includes tax-free stipends per IRS guidelines. Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
