Job description
American Traveler is hiring an RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital position requiring 2 years of case management experience and a CA RN license.
Requirements
Active CA RN license required, pending license accepted if licensed by start date
2 years of acute care hospital Case Manager experience performing care coordination and discharge planning required
Hospital experience required
Prior travel experience required, though first-time travelers will be screened for consideration
Epic EMR experience required
2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Responsibilities
Acute care hospital setting within the Case Management department
Patient ratio of 1:20
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Weekend rotation required to meet department needs
No floating expected
Uses Epic EMR
Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, plan of care development, and utilization of InterQual criteria
Familiarity with CMS guidelines and DRG regulatory concepts
Scrubs or business attire accepted
Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront
First-time travelers accepted, subject to clinical screening
Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel employee and must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for standard travel rate
