Job Description
The Utilization Coordinator is responsible for coordinating admissions, performing concurrent and retrospective utilization review, and facilitating discharge planning. S/he also provides coordination of complex discharge planning needs and referrals to appropriate support services.
Education
Associate's in Nursing or above. Bachelor’s preferred.
Certification & Licensure
RN-Registered Nurse of California
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support
PALS-Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 180 Days of hire
CCM-Certified Case Manager preferred.
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Preferred Experience
Minimum 2 years experience working in Utilization Management (admissions, utilization review, and/or discharge planning).
