Job description
American Traveler is seeking an Emergency Department RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring 2+ years of ER experience and STEMI/Stroke facility background.
Requirements
Active RN license (NC or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
STEMI and Stroke facility experience required
Epic EMR experience required
Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, triage, and isolation precautions/PPE
Current driver's license required for consideration
Responsibilities
General Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric populations
Non-trauma emergency department at a STEMI and Stroke certified facility
Cares for special populations including cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health
Patient ratio of 1:4
Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7p-730a, with occasional 3p-3a shifts as needed
Every other weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
No call requirements
Floating to any Cone Health campus may be required
Uses Epic EMR
Care for patients experiencing a wide range of emergency conditions including cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and trauma-related cases
Hospital specialties include cath lab, women's health, and stroke care
All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam with up to two attempts allowed
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local rates apply
RTO must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted
