Job description
American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Dept RN for a mid-shift (2p-2a) 13-week assignment requiring 3+ years of ER experience and TX or compact RN licensure.
Requirements
Active RN license valid in the State of Texas (Standard or Compact)
Current ACLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC certifications (AHA or ARC)
3+ years of recent Emergency Department experience required
Standard emergency nursing experience required
Ultrasound IV skills preferred
Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
No employment gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months
Responsibilities
Emergency Services department with 24 beds plus 4 hall beds
Patient ratio of 4:1 except in fast track/triage areas
MIDS shift 2:00 PM to 2:00 AM
No on-call responsibilities
No floating required
No block scheduling
EMR system used is MEDHOST
Scrubs in any solid color are required
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
RTO requests must be less than 1 week
Blackout dates apply for the weekend after Thanksgiving and the week of Christmas and New Year's
Maximum RTO allowance of 3 shifts
Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
