Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a day shift position requiring a CA RN license and critical care background.
Requirements
Active CA RN license required
Minimum of 1 year critical care experience, ER experience preferred
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required (American Heart Association)
Graduate of an accredited nursing school
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
Basic computer knowledge
Responsibilities
Emergency Department setting providing direct and indirect patient care
Day shift schedule with 7:00-7:30 or 10:00-10:30 start options
13-week assignment
36 guaranteed hours
Perform triage and head-to-toe assessments across pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general patient populations
Monitor hemodynamic status, interpret cardiac rhythms, and identify dysrhythmias
Assist physicians with ED procedures
Maintain accurate nursing documentation and communicate patient status changes to physicians
Educate patients and families on pain management and treatment plans
Participate in performance improvement activities and ongoing professional development
Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment in accordance with hospital standards
