Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level 3 Trauma Center, requiring ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and BLS certifications with a compact or IA license.
Requirements
Active RN license (IA or Compact)
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Minimum 1 year of ER experience required
Valid driver's license required for consideration
Skills checklist specific to ER required
Supervisory reference/performance evaluation completed within the last two years required
Responsibilities
Emergency Department setting within a Level 3 Trauma Center
Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
Every third weekend required, working 36 or 48 hours per week
No on-call requirements
May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses
Uses Epic EMR
Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
Provide comprehensive care and management to emergency department patients
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
Prior UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are restricted from working travel assignments in another market within 12 months of separation
Holiday coverage required, with travelers expected to work 2 of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
Limited time-off requests permitted during peak holiday periods in late November and December
