Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
Requirements
Active WA State or Compact RN license required
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
Must adhere to Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards of practice
Responsibilities
Emergency Department setting within a hospital
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hrs/week,
No on-call responsibilities
Required to float as a sitter and may float in rotation, including to Mares Campus
Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process and unit standards
Develop, implement, and reassess individualized patient care plans
Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
Perform holistic ongoing patient assessments and respond appropriately
Evaluate and adjust discharge plans based on patient needs
Document assessments, care plans, interventions, and responses accurately
Educate patients and families on relevant health information
Delegate and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care
Maintain a clean and safe environment per hospital and unit policies
