Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring hands-on skill with GI equipment and Epic charting experience.
Details
Work in the Endoscopy Lab providing care for patients undergoing endoscopic and/or invasive procedures with or without sedation
Day shift, 10-hour schedule, 4 days per week, 36 hours weekly
May be required to float to other departments within the Peri-Operative umbrella and occasionally to other nursing units within scope of competency
May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
Requirements
Active RN license (MT or Compact) required, with compact licenses to be transferred to MT within 60 days of start
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required, not expiring before start date
ASN or Nursing Diploma required
Minimum 1 year of experience in GI/Endoscopy specialty required
Must be experienced performing the technical portion of GI equipment procedures
Epic EMR charting experience required
DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
Collaborate with pre-operative RN to assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care
Monitor and maintain aseptic technique compliance among the surgical team, initiating corrective action as needed
Support and educate patients and families throughout the procedure process
Serve as a resource to students and new caregivers, contributing to quality improvement initiatives
Document equipment use and supply consumption to support accurate charging and inventory management
Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least one year before being eligible for this assignment
