Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Home Health RN with OASIS and Kinnser/WellSky experience to serve patients in their residences across Fairfax County.
Requirements
Active VA or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of Home Health experience and 2 years of overall clinical experience required
OASIS experience required
Kinnser (WellSky) charting experience required
Prior travel nursing experience required
Reliable transportation required for mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate (excluding travel to first patient or return home)
Responsibilities
Home health setting providing in-home patient care including wound care and medication administration
Caseload of 4-6 patients per day, averaging 25-30 visits per week to total 40 hours weekly
Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:30am-5:00pm
Coverage area includes Fairfax County and the city of Falls Church
Must be willing to travel up to 50 miles outside the home base
Weekend requirements vary and should be discussed during interview
Occasional on-call rotations required, details discussed during interview
Uses Kinnser (WellSky) charting system
Provide skilled nursing care including wound care and medication administration to patients in their homes
Scrubs of any color are acceptable for dress code
RTO requests must be submitted and approved at time of initial consideration; no additional time off approved after offer
Cannot request off every holiday
Call-outs require more than 24 hours advance notice
First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
Local candidates within a 50-mile radius accepted at the local rate
