Job description
American Traveler is hiring a Home Health RN for a West Portland, OR assignment requiring an active OR license and at least 1 year of skilled home health experience.
Requirements
Active Oregon RN license required
BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of skilled home health experience required
OASIS experience required
Experience with wound care, medication administration, and infection control precautions
Must have own reliable transportation for home visits
Responsibilities
Provides in-home skilled nursing care to patients in West Portland, OR and surrounding areas
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
1:1 patient ratio with up to 6 patient visits per day
No weekend requirement
No on-call responsibilities
No floating between units required
Uses EPIC Remote Client for Home Health charting and the Rover phone app, along with OASIS documentation
Performs admission assessments, recertifications, resumption of care, routine visits, and start of care documentation
Care may include gastrointestinal management (colostomy/ileostomy, G-tube care), wound care and wound VAC management, and medication administration via multiple routes
System groups clients to minimize drive time, though occasional daily travel radius may reach 60 miles
Business casual attire required; scrubs optional and no specific color required
Requires primary series COVID vaccination plus one booster
Free parking provided and mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate
First-time travelers accepted, provided they have home health experience
Local candidates accepted within a 50-75 mile radius at the same pay rate
Returning former staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
