Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift float position requiring 3 years of experience and SC or compact RN licensure.
Requirements
Active RN license (SC or compact) required, no pending licenses accepted
Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
Copy of certifications required for consideration
Two supervisory references required
Responsibilities
Work in the ICU of a hospital setting
Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:45-7:15)
Every other weekend (EOW) required
On-call requirement of 2 shifts every 4 weeks
Float required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients with floating responsibilities as needed
Minimize time off requests, especially during the first two weeks of the assignment or for full weeks off during the contract
Any time-off requests must be approved and documented prior to the start of the assignment
Expect to work some holidays
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at the local rate
Former permanent staff must have been separated from employment for at least 5 years to be eligible as a traveler
