Job description
American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an ICU position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and Epic proficiency.
Requirements
Active RN license (NH or Compact) currently in hand
MA license required if applicable
Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA)
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
Epic EMR experience required
Responsibilities
10-bed ICU treating critically ill adult patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, sepsis, and post-surgical complications
Occasional management of pediatric patients requiring stabilization prior to transfer
Cares for acute stroke patients supported by telestroke/tele-neurology services as part of a Primary Stroke Center
Utilizes Epic EMR system
12-hour night shift schedule, 36 hours per week
Requires working every third weekend
No floating or charge responsibilities required
8-week assignment length
Provide critical care nursing to a mixed adult ICU population, including cardiac, surgical, and stroke patients
Work alongside intensivists and hospitalists in a community hospital ICU setting
Accepts local candidates
Returning employees must complete a 6-month break between assignments at any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility
Pass/fail testing may be required for Tele/ECG and Medication competency
Required vaccinations include COVID (plus booster) and Flu, with medical exemptions allowed
