Travel RN – ICU Nurse Lead | San Luis Obispo, CA | 3x12 Days | No Call | Travel Contract | Competitive Pay
We're hiring an experienced ICU RN Nurse Lead/Charge Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in San Luis Obispo. This position combines hands‑on critical‑care nursing with unit leadership responsibilities and is best suited for an ICU nurse who has already demonstrated strong charge or supervisory experience.
Schedule
3x12 Day Shifts
6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
36 hours/week
Schedule based on department needs
No call required
What You’ll Do
Provide high‑acuity ICU nursing care while serving as a clinical leader.
Supervise and direct nursing and ancillary personnel during assigned shifts.
Assist with staffing, patient assignments and unit workflow.
Support quality, patient‑safety and performance‑improvement initiatives.
Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing leadership and multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
Strong recent ICU experience.
Previous Charge Nurse/supervisory experience required for this leadership assignment.
BLS and ACLS required.
TNCC required due to the trauma environment.
Comfortable balancing bedside clinical responsibilities with administrative/leadership duties.
