Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU/Step Down RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and a Maine or compact RN license.
Requirements
Active RN license (Maine or compact) required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
NIHSS certification required
PALS preferred but not required
Minimum 2 years of ICU and Step Down experience required
EPIC EMR experience required
Driver's License required for consideration
2 professional references required
Responsibilities
Work in an 8-bed ICU/Step Down unit
Patient ratios of 1 nurse to 2-3 patients
12-hour night shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
Every other weekend required
Call requirements vary based on unit needs
Float to MSU or other units as a resource, within a 25-mile radius between facilities
Uses EPIC EMR
Provide direct patient care to ICU and Step Down patients
Solid-colored scrubs required, no prints allowed
Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are considered local, which may affect pay rate
Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for the 13-week contract
Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months must disclose this upon application
