Job description
American Traveler is hiring a Critical Care Step-Down RN requiring 2+ years ICU experience and Epic proficiency for a day shift travel assignment.
Requirements
Active RN license (VA or Compact) required
Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA only)
Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
2+ years of ICU RN experience required
Epic EMR experience required
Critical Care/Step Down/Progressive experience preferred
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
US SSN required for consideration
Responsibilities
Work in a 4-bed Critical Care Step-Down unit
Patient population includes mostly adults and teens
Patient ratio of 1:4
Uses Epic EMR
3x12 day shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
Every other weekend and holiday required
No on-call requirements
May float to a 24-bed Med Surg unit with a 6:1 ratio
Provide critical care nursing to a surge ICU/step-down population
Navy blue scrubs required
Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible
