Job description
American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring UT or compact RN license and 2+ years of experience with willingness to float to MedSurg.
Requirements
Active UT or compact RN license required
Minimum 2 years of experience required
Current BLS certification required
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
BSN not required
Responsibilities
Acute care setting in a combined L&D/Mother-Baby/Postpartum/OB unit
3 L&D beds and postpartum rooms with 2 overflow rooms
Average 120-130 births per day per year
Uses PeriCalm fetal heart monitoring system
Uses Athena EMR
12-hour night shifts from 6pm to 6am, 36 hours per week
Float to MedSurg as needed
No in-house OB/Neonatologist, only family practice available
No 24/7 RT coverage, CRNA utilized if required
On-call pharmacy coverage only
CNA support shared between Med/Surg and L&D
Provide nursing care across L&D, Mother-Baby, Postpartum, and OB services
Any solid color scrubs permitted
