Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with couplet care and high-risk OB experience for a 13-week travel assignment.
Requirements
Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience required
BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, and NRP certifications required
AWHONN Advanced and STABLE certifications preferred
Epic charting experience required
Experience with couplet care and high-risk OB required
Proficiency in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and use of infusion pumps/drips required
SSN and driver's license required for consideration
Responsibilities
LDRP unit within an acute care hospital setting
Couplet care with ratios of 1:2, 1:1, and 1:3
High-risk antepartum and high-risk delivery patient population
Day shift, 3x12 hours (6:45a-7:15p)
Every third weekend required
On-call required: two 12-hour shifts within a 6-week period
No floating required outside of the unit
Uses Epic EMR and Omnicell medication system
Provide labor and delivery management and postpartum couplet care
Assist with high-risk deliveries and antepartum care
Scrubs provided by facility
First-time travelers accepted
Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
Local candidates within 60 miles are not accepted; non-local candidates are prioritized
Block scheduling may be requested but requires manager approval and is dependent on unit needs
Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season (June through November)
