Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with at least 5 years of recent L&D, postpartum, and newborn experience and AWHONN Advanced FHM certification.
Requirements
Active AZ or compact RN license required
Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care required
Additional experience may be required in some cases
Current certifications required: AHA ACLS or ALSO, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced FHM
RNC-EFM certification may substitute for AWHONN Advanced FHM
Responsibilities
Work in L&D, postpartum rooms, and BFHI baby-with-mom rooms
Unit averages 40 deliveries and 6 C-sections per month
May occasionally serve as charge nurse after completing charge nurse training
12-hour day shift schedule
Must be flexible to work other shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
May float to other qualified departments, including taking a patient load or performing task-oriented duties such as answering call lights and phones
Uses RPMS EMR system
Provide nursing care across L&D, postpartum, and newborn rooming-in settings
Holiday coverage required
