Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring active CA RN licensure and ACLS/NRP certification.
Requirements
Active CA RN license required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
BSN preferred
Acute care facility experience preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required, 3 months recent experience
No prior license hits accepted
Responsibilities
Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care hospital
Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM, 36-48 hours per week
Delivers coordinated nursing care to patients in labor and delivery
Supervises and directs activities of assigned nursing staff across various levels
Coordinates care with other disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment
Collects and analyzes patient assessment data to determine diagnoses and care plans
Implements care plans, coordinates delivery, and evaluates patient outcomes
Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare team to provide safe, humane care
Provides patient and family education and participates in discharge planning
Delegates duties appropriately among healthcare team members
No radius rule applies; local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will be automatically declined
Required to receive all vaccinations as a condition of employment
