Job description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift rural hospital position requiring 2+ years of LDR experience and willingness to float to Med-Surg.
Requirements
Active KS or compact RN license required
AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
Must be fully committed to obtaining PALS prior to start if not already certified
Fetal monitoring class (intermediate or advanced) completed within the past 24 months required
Minimum 2 years of LDR experience required
3+ years of LDR experience in a rural hospital setting preferred
Previous travel nursing experience is a plus
Responsibilities
Labor & Delivery unit in a rural hospital setting
Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
Floating to Medical-Surgical unit required for overflow patients, including pediatric patient care
Every other weekend required
2-3 on-call shifts per month
Holiday coverage required in rotation
EPIC EMR experience highly preferred
Facility is nicotine free
Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients and support overflow Med-Surg and pediatric patients as needed
Monday virtual orientation provided
Local and travel candidates accepted at the same bill rate, except for this location which requires candidates to live outside a 60-mile radius for travel rate eligibility
