Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/LDRP position requiring FL or compact RN license and prior L&D, postpartum, nursery, and Mother/Baby experience.
Requirements
Active FL or compact RN license required
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP
PALS required, may be obtained within 30 days of start
AWHONN preferred, can be completed onsite
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
Prior experience in postpartum, nursery, and Mother/Baby care required
AHCA required for FL placement
No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of start
Responsibilities
Labor and Delivery unit providing antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal obstetrical care
Day shift schedule, 7a-7p
13-week assignment
Flexible to float to other units as facility needs require
Provide shift accountability for safe delivery of obstetrical care using the nursing process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy
Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering patient care
Delegate care priorities and provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel
Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the travel position
RTO requests must be less than one week
Candidates with gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months will not be considered
Travelers who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for consideration
