Job description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position in a high-volume Birthing Pavilion requiring recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience.
Requirements
Active RN license (NH or Compact) required
BLS certification mandatory
Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years required
Responsibilities
Work in a Birthing Pavilion performing approximately 1,300 deliveries per year
Unit includes 21 patient rooms, a 2-bed triage room, and 2 operating rooms
Experience in either Postpartum or Labor is acceptable; both are not required
Nurse:patient ratios generally follow AWHONN guidelines, including 1:1 for Pitocin and active labor/intermittent monitoring, 1:2 for cervical ripening, 1:2 for high-risk medications such as Magnesium Sulfate and Insulin drips, and 1:3 for Antepartum and Postpartum couplets
Day/Night rotation preferred, though Night shifts are also available
ASAP start required
Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility
No local candidates will be considered
