Job description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13‑week night shift assignment requiring a CA RN license and 2+ years of experience.
Requirements
Active CA RN license required
Minimum 2 years of experience required
BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required
DCI/BVP certification required
EMR experience specific to the facility's system required
Responsibilities
Labor and Delivery unit within the Birthplace department
Cares for mothers and newborns during antepartum and postpartum periods
Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
13‑week assignment length
Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Direct and guide patient/family teaching and the activities of other nursing staff
Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response
Maintain a safe environment for patients and visitors
Utilize chain of command as needed to ensure patient safety and appropriate care
Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel positions
