Job description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN with a minimum of 2 years experience and a CA RN license for a 13-week travel assignment.
Requirements
Active CA RN license required
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
DOB and SSN required for consideration
Responsibilities
Work in the Labor and Delivery unit within the Birthplace
Provide care to mothers and newborns during antepartum and postpartum periods
Day shift schedule from 07:00-19:30
13-week assignment length
Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Direct and guide patient and family teaching activities
Guide and oversee activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining unit standards of care
Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response
Maintain a safe environment for patients and visitors
Utilize chain of command as needed to ensure patient well-being
Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel positions
