Job description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a Level 1 unit requiring NRP and STABLE certifications with night shift availability.
Requirements
Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
Current certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and STABLE Certification
Minimum 2 years of experience required
BSN not required
Copy of unexpired driver's license required for consideration
Responsibilities
Work in a Labor & Delivery/Mother Baby unit within an acute care hospital
Level 1 unit caring for women and infants until stable for discharge or transfer
Average of 20 deliveries per month
Uses EPIC EMR system
Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts
36 hours per week
Provide labor and delivery and postpartum mother-baby nursing care
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel positions
Interview directly with the unit manager as part of the hiring process
Travelers who previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before reapplying
Former permanent staff at this facility are not eligible to return as travelers
Travelers may not work within the WVU system for longer than one year cumulatively before requiring a 2-year break
