Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Antepartum position requiring 2+ years of high-risk L&D/Antepartum experience and intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification.
Requirements
Active TX RN license or compact license required (temporary license not accepted)
Minimum 2 years of high-risk Labor & Delivery or Antepartum experience
Current BLS, NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certifications required
ACLS and RNC certifications preferred
Experience managing magnesium sulfate and preterm labor required
US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
One professional reference required
Responsibilities
Antepartum unit within a newly renovated Women's Services department, 19 beds
Patient ratio of 1:5
Night shift, 7P-7A, 13-week assignment
Every other weekend required
No call requirements
Floating as needed to fill vacancies
Charting via Meditech and CPIN (Meditech experience preferred)
Provide specialized care for high-risk obstetric and antepartum patients, including magnesium sulfate and preterm labor management
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
Blue insignia scrubs required for RNs
Strict grooming and appearance standards including nail, hair, tattoo, and piercing policies
No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Holiday coverage requirements to be discussed during interview
