Job description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an outpatient OB/GYN clinic requiring an active NY license and prior travel nursing experience.
Requirements
Active NY RN license required
BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
Prior travel nursing experience required
Epic charting experience preferred
Skills in women's health care including pelvic exams, pap smears, EFM use, and management of conditions such as ectopic pregnancy, PID, and pregnancy-induced hypertension
Experience with specimen collection, medication administration (IM/subQ), and point-of-care testing (glucose, urine dipstick)
Experience with patient scheduling, insurance verification, telephone triage, and authorization forms
One professional reference required for consideration
Responsibilities
Outpatient OB/GYN clinic setting
Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM
Uses Epic charting system
Responsibilities include patient teaching, follow-up calls, medication refill coordination, and assisting with in-office procedures
Supports high-risk OB and general OB/GYN patient populations
Flu vaccination required with no declinations accepted
COVID-19 vaccination and booster required, with medical or religious exemptions only
Candidates must not live within 75 miles of the facility to be eligible
Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
Up to 7 days of requested time off can be auto-approved
