Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2 years of L&D experience and 2 years of travel experience.
Details
Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit
Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours)
Provides nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
Administers medication and initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products
Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
Delegates tasks to support staff as needed
Requirements
Active RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
Minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and 2 years of travel nursing experience required
Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred
BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate required
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor certification required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
Additional Information
Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients and documents nursing interventions and treatment responses
Monitors physiological data and intervenes as needed based on patient condition
Communicates care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and at discharge
Makes appropriate referrals for patient care needs
Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
Facility enforces strict compliance deadlines; onboarding requirements must be completed promptly to avoid delays in start date
Returning workers may only extend a contract once for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
