Job description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN with at least 3 years of experience and a compact or MD RN license for a 13-week day shift assignment.
Requirements
Active compact RN license or MD RN license required
Current certifications required: C-EFM (through NCC), BLS, and NRP
ACLS certification preferred
3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
Skilled in labor and delivery management including amnioinfusion, vaginal and C-section delivery assistance, forceps/vacuum extraction, and hemorrhage/shock management
Experience with antepartum, postpartum, and pain management procedures including epidural and IV conscious sedation
Skilled in fetal monitoring and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
Responsibilities
Labor and Delivery unit setting
3x12-hour day shifts scheduled 07:00-19:30
Every other weekend and every other holiday required
On-call requirement of 8 hours per 6-week scheduling period
Baby Friendly organization where laboring nurses may be assigned Post Partum patients as needed
Provide comprehensive labor, delivery, and postpartum nursing care in a Baby Friendly facility
Scrubs provided
Local candidates accepted at a lower pay rate
First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
