Job description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring high-risk, high-acuity, and circulating experience at a high-volume delivery center.
Requirements
Active IA or compact RN license required
BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
AWHONN certification for fetal monitoring
NRP certification
At least 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
High-risk experience required
Circulating experience required
High acuity experience required
Experience within the past year at a high-volume delivery center (200-300 deliveries/month) required
Scrub experience preferred
Multiple completed travel contracts preferred
Driver's license required for consideration
Responsibilities
Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
High-risk and high-acuity obstetric patient population
Circulating duties required
Facility performs 200-300 deliveries per month
Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM), 36 hrs/week
Must be comfortable floating to Postpartum 1-2 shifts per week
Every third weekend required
No on-call requirements
Uses Epic EMR, with EPIC STORK experience preferred
Contribute professional clinical knowledge and skills as part of an interdisciplinary team providing patient care
Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are ineligible for travel positions in other UPH markets within 12 months
Holiday coverage required for 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)
Limited time-off requests permitted around the winter holiday period
First-time travelers may be considered
